How time flies...

I do not know how time goes by so fast and me not posting, but it seems to just have flown by! This past month has been great! We have been doing so many little things and having LOTS of fun with this great weather! We are going to take it in as much as we can before I am laid up for a few weeks with the new baby!

Mothers Day!
We had a great Mothers day this year! Chris got us a family pass to Thanksgiving Point so of course we started using it right away! First stop was the Dinosaur Museum! Every time we drive by Chase would point at the big dinosaur on the side of the building and growl. So we knew it was time to take him and let him experience what it was all about it! He loved it and just ran around and did every activity he could. I am sure we will spend LOTS of time there this next year.

As always Chase loves ths fish and could just sit there forever!Look at all those bonesDigging in the sandDigging for fossilsAfter the Dinosaur Museum the weather had cleared up so we headed over to enjoy the tulip festival. I think we wore Chase out with all the walking he was doing he he fell asleep right on Chris shoulders! Silly boy! Kids can really fall asleep anywhere!

Chase has been to the Tulip Festival before with Char, Melissa and Michelle. I think they must have ade him take a lot of pics because as soon as we walked in he stood in front of the flowers and said, "Cheese"As many of you may know, Chris dad is now at the Utahs Veterans Home. We try go and see him every few weeks and Chase is always a big hit with all the residents there. He is a very social little guy and makes his rounds saying hello and patting them all on the hands. It is so cute! When we get there though he always finds grandpa and gives him a big hug! These two guys have there own special realtionship that none of us understand, but puts a smile on our face. The hug this particular day lasted about 2 minutes!Well, Melissa 30 birthday has came and gone! Of course it was a great excuse for us to take a little girls trip...so off we went to St. George. It was a short yet perfect weekend of laying out, getting pedicures, movies, food, and friends!
Just a few pics of our weekend!
Please disregard my horrible roots....I plan on getting my hair done soon!Worst pedis ever....Best WT entertainment!Chris and Chase had a lot of fun while I was gone. They hit the childrens Discovery Gardens at Thankgiving Point, got haircuts, went to the park, ate Del Taco and got lots of little things done around the house. Since Chase had such a great time at the Discovery Gardens I took him there yesterday again to play in Noahs Ark. What a great little place for kids....and so close! We will be there a lot this summer!Chase loves the fish no matter how murky the water! There are a lot of fun activities for the kids to do there, but this was by far Chases favorite. I think he could have sat here for hours playingThere is so much more I could post, but wow this has gotten WAY TOO LONG! I just need to keep up on doing it ever week! We have had a great month and are looking forward to June and spending a lot of time with Chase before the new little one arrives. We are so excited for this new little boy in our lives, but will miss all this one on one time we have had with the little guy who has been the center of our lives for the past 2 years!
June 30th is the big day so we are going to live up all the summer fun we can until then!

My Guilty Pleasure!

Since I have been pregnant I have had a super big addiction to cheese puffs! Gotta love them! Well one night while watching the office they showed cheese balls....and then I remembered how much I used to love those Planters Cheese Balls that came in the blue container with the orange lid. I was on a mission, but one that would end in disappointment. Planters does not make them anymore! Can you believe it? I have since written them a comment letting them know that they have to bring them back because they are just that good. Haven't gotten any replies though....Crazy pregnant people!
I have found replacements, but nothing that has tasted as good at the ones that Planters made. Anyone miss them as much as I do, or is this just my pregnant cravings going into overdrive?

Such a big boy...

My little boy is growing up way to fast and this momma does not like it! Well in all actuality I do, but it is so sad to see the baby leave and this little boy take his place. Since baby #2 is on the way I have been super stressed about the transition of our little Chase Man! I am sure every mom goes through this...making sure that they do not feel left out and know that they are still #1 even if there is a #2. So in preparation of baby #2 we got Chase a "Big Boy Bed"....I guess you can say we are too cheap to get another crib. I have been so worried about the transition because not only will Chase move to a big boy bed, but he is moving to another room. (Very scary for this mommy!) So we got him this cute little race car bed, and have started to make this new room all about him and the things he loves! We still have some work to do to get it all done, but I have started having him sleep in his new room for nap time. I have to admit I was very stressed about this transition....In fact the first week in trying to lay him down for naps I laid with him, just so he would be comforted. One thing about my little guy though is he likes his own space and his own bed so I noticed it was hard for him to fall asleep with me in there. So I decided I would just do it....leave him in there and see what he did. I told him I had some things to do upstairs and would come and check on him and that he needed to stay in his bed for nap time, he replied, "Yah," and up the stairs I went. I patiently waited at the top thinking he would come out looking for me. After about 10 minutes I checked on him and there he was reading a book in his bed. (Melted my heart..) Then I proceeded to call Chris to let him know of this accomplishment, by the time I made it back down the stairs he was asleep....and I have done this now for 3 days! He really is such a sweet boy! A great little listener, the best helper in the world, and mommies best pal! Although I know that he depends on me for so much sometimes you just have to give them little wings so they can fly and they will do it! I have not yet had him in his new room for bed time, but I am sure he will do just great, because that is just the kinda little guy he is!
NAP TIME!
I will take a cute pic with the room is all done! Now to part 2 of my little one growing up! As you all know, Chris loves cars and motorcycles, and music, and anything to do with sking and snowmobiling, and football...the list could go on. And all I can say is, "Like Father, Like Son...." 2 Weeks ago Chris said he had found a perfect motorcycle for Chase! Yep....remember he is not even 2 yet, but Chris was so excited and off he went to pick it up! Now I have to admit this little bike is a little big and Chase would probably not be able to ride it until he is 8, but loves riding on the bike with Chris just the same. Hey I even took a spin around the block on it and I am over 5 months prego! It is just so fun to watch the two of them go up and down the street and Chase wave at every car that goes by and squeal with excitement.

Chase and his first motorcycle....(AKA-Daddy's New Toy)Part 3....I know there is SO much so bear with me if you even made it this far. Also in preparation for baby #2 we are getting ready to potty train Chase. I have not started quite yet, and who knows when I will actually get the nerve to do it, but I did pick up some underwear and a little seat for him just to get prepared. Like I mentioned I got the underwear and took them out of the pack to show Chase. They had the Cars characters all over it and he was excited. Well I put them in his room and walked out to go grab something and when I came back and had them on over his pants, with his hat of course! He then wanted to sit on the potty, but with his new car pants on.....All I could do is just giggle! And he wore them around the rest of the day! :) And was proud to show them off to whoever came around! All I have to say is I love being a Mom! I love his little giggle, and that he is such a big helper. I love his little prayers.....He is always the first to bow his head and fold his arms and his actually quite the example for me! I never knew this stage in life could be so much fun and am so excited to have another little boy to just complete our little family even more!

Our Weekend

This past weekend Chris and I went to out Emergency Preparedness Fair. We are one of the couples in our ward that help out with this type of stuff and it was a great success. One of the fun parts of the event was that a fire truck, ambulances, and even air med came and landed for the kids to look at. They all talked a little bit about what they do and what the kids should do in an emergency and if they see them all dressed up not to be scared. They also were letting the kids get in all the vehicles and even the helicopter. Chase being as small as he is was getting right in there and climbing up on everything.
The information was perfect and I am glad that we attended and were able to learn some valuable things ourselves.

Getting Ready for our Fun Day!Taking a pic with the firemen. All the kids loved the helicopter. The landing and take off was the best!Just a little pic from our Sunday afternoon. I guess church can be very tiring.
