Big Boy Food

Tate has been watching us eat so closely that we decided to let him try some rice cereal. I think all of it ended up on his bib, but he was so cute. He loved every time the spoon came near his mouth. Just don't think he quite knew what to do once it got there.I just love all of his little faces that he makes. 

Maybe we will try again in a few weeks

Halloween 2012

Here is just a little piece of our Halloween this year. Super heroes is very big right now, and when you have 3 boys it is going to be big in your family. It is basically an everyday thing for us, so why not for Halloween. This year we were the Avengers. The kids each chose who they wanted to be and of course I had to join in the fun with them. It was a great Halloween with great food, family and friends.

4 Month Appointment

Today was Tate's 4 month appointment. He is actually 4 months 22 days so it is a little late, but as always I love to see how my little guy is growing. He is getting big so fast it is sad. they just leave that newborn stage way too fast, but I am also loving this stage. This little guy is full of smiles and gives them away so easily. It is the best thing when I go and get him out of his crib in the mornings and he is so happy to see me. He is equally happy to see his brothers and gives lots of smiles and squeals when they come in. One things about my little guy is he is a mover and a shaker. I have never had a baby move around so much,its crazy! When he is in your lap he is bouncing around, and is always trying to grab at things. He loves to spend time in his saucer with his toys and playing with his floor toys.He also loves being in his high chair and playing with toys. No solid foods for my little guy yet, but he loves to be with us at any meal time and jabbering away. Although he is getting big so fast, he is a little smaller than what my other guys have been. His little rolls would make you think otherwise, but he is my smallest little guy get. Time to fatten him up. All in all I love this little guy more than ever! He is a bright spot in our home, and our family would not be complete without him. Keep sharing your sweet little smile Tater Bug! We love you!

I have always wanted Newborn Pics. I think every mom wants that, but with my first 2 boys it just did not happen. Amy got me a newborn package for a gift and I am so glad! They change to fast to not capture how sweet and tiny they are! Loved his hair from the moment I laid eyes on him!

Tate is 2 Weeks

 2 Weeks Old

Tate is already 2 Weeks Old. The time has gone by so fast, and I can tell he is just going to be just as chubby and cute as the others. These first couple of weeks have been interesting transitioning from 2 to 3 kids, but we have had lots of help from Carolyn, Melissa, and my Mom who showed up on the 10th. It has been great to have family around and to be able to get the rest I need to recover properly. 

Now on to Tate, he honestly is the sweetest little baby and is just so cute. I really just love that head of hair that he has on him and am still shocked that it is so light in color. (That will change...I am sure it will be dark before i know it) He really is just doing all the usual things babies do....eat, sleep, poo...repeat. I have to admit though I just love holding and cuddling this little guy. He makes the cutest little noises all the time especially when he is sleeping. I swear I have even seen him laugh when he is sleeping, When he is awake he is very alert and loves to just look around and make faces. He has these huge eyes that will look you straight in the eyes, and at times I know he gives us little smiles. Some may say it is gas, but I know we have this little connection and he is really giving me a smile, and I know there will just be more to come. I look forward to getting to know this little guy even more. For right now we will hope he figures out sleeping at nights, but even now how can you resist something that cute even when it is 2am.

Chase 5 Year Old Appointment

Chase 5 Year Old Appointment

   Chase had his 5 year appointment. There was a lot of anxiety for him leading up to this appointment because he knew that he was going to have to get shots for kindergarten, so I left the other kids and we picked up Grami Cami and headed to the doctor. As usual they only had great things to say about him and the doctor even said to Chase you are going to be very smart, and ahead when you go to kindergarten. Everything was great until the nurses walked into give the shots. There were 2 nurses so they could give him the shots at the same time. Grami went to give him a bear hug while they gave him the shots, but as soon as he felt the first needle the whole office head a blood curdling scream. And he pulled his arms away. And one of the shots came out, which meant it had to be done again. Now 4 of us were holding him just so we could finish up. Well he is now ready for kindergarten, and I am so glad that we do not have shots again until junior high although I don't think we will be able to hold him down then.   After the big event we headed to Mcdonalds for some pancakes! (I think he atleast deserved that)

Happy Birthday Chase!

Wow, where has the time gone? I can hardly believe that Chase is 5 and will be starting kindergarten this year.It is a little bittersweet I must admit, but such an exciting time for him as he moves to this next stage of his life.  He is such an amazing boy with so many talents, and gifts that he shares with all. A few words to describe Chase: Sweet, Sensitive, Caring,  Funny, Loving, Strong, Happy, Energy, Hungry, Example, Polite, Helper, Early Bird.

This past year Chase has grown up so much. He has always seemed older than what he is, but I feel as even this year he has just grown up even more and been such a big help to me, and his little brother Grant. This past year he finished up his second year of preschool with Teacher Heidi. She was very sad to see him go, and talked about how smart he was and what a leader he was in the class. Most people think these things of Chase. He is quite the little thinker and analyzes the things around him, which also makes him ask a lot of questions. He is always full of so many questions, which I love, but at times can be exhausting as well. He loves to talk....which may be where those questions come from, and he is always on the go. From the moment he wakes up he wants to know what we are doing and where we are going, and does not lack in energy all day long. He is an early riser and when it is bed time he zonks out pretty quick.He loves doing all things, but mostly he loves playing with his friends outside on his bike and scooter, and jumping out back on the trampoline. He also loves going on bike rides with his dad, and at only 4 years old did an 8 mile bike ride. He could spend all day outside playing and still be upset when he has to come in. I just cannot believe how much the time has passed and what a great kid Chase is. He truly is an example to all that are around him and a good friend. I get knocks on the door all day long from kids in the neighborhood who just want to play with him and I think that is how it will be his while life. We love you Chase and are so excited to have you as part of our family!

Chase was so worried about whether or not there would be decorations up when he woke up. I was so glad that he was not disappointed and that we started his birthday off of the right foot. With mom just having  a  baby I think the day turned out well.

Welcome Baby Tate!

Well Boy #3! Who would have thought that we would have a family of all boys up to this point? I really could not be happier. Once again I feel like our family is complete for now and I am completely in love with our new sweet little guy! Just when I think they could not get any cuter he comes a long.

Well everything was scheduled for the c section. We were planning on heading in on May 31 at 6:30 in the morning for a c-section. So Melissa came over and picked up the boys on Wednesday night and Chris and I headed out for a date night,  Buffalo Wild Wings, and a movie. Well we got as far as Buffalo Wild Wings when I started to have contractions. Really? I am going in to have a baby in the morning and I am having contractions now. Well we sat and finished dinner and headed over to Lowes to go and look at faucets for our sink. At this point contractions were about 4 minutes apart and we were trying to decide if we should just go into the hospital.  Well we headed to Cotsco and then Home Depot, and then decided a movie might not be in the plans for us and headed home to pack our bags. Who knew wings could send you into labor. :) We headed to the hospital and thought we may be having this baby a day early, but he came just as planned. (Only a little earlier) I was a little nervous for the c section, but everything went perfect. When they pulled him out everyone commented on how big he was. I was sure by everyone's comments that this little guy was going to for sure be a 9 lb baby, but when they weighed him in it was 7lbs 13 oz. Finally when Chris brought him over and I laid eyes on him, I was in LOVE! How could I not be, he was perfect. I was completely shocked by the amount of hair, and by the color which has already been styled by the nurses in a quick little faux hawk. He is seriously perfect and we are so excited to have him as part of our little family. Chris and I truly have been blessed with the sweetest little spirits and look forward to getting to know our new little guy.
