What a Weekend!

We had a great weekend! We started off heading to Strawberry Days in Pleasant Grove and hit the rodeo. It was LOTS of fun to hang out with all of our friends and eat our favorite treat of Strawberries and Cream! Chase was pretty entertained and had a late night, but seemed to love all the attention he was getting for everyone there! On Saturday Chris and I worked on the deck and on the yard. We are really trying to get the deck summer ready so we can enjoy! Chris finished up on the deck and now we are just waiting on the iron railing and on curbing to go around the deck. Needless to say, we are excited and have been sitting out there every night enjoying the summer evenings. Although I missed out on a day at Seven Peaks with the girls it was fun day working in the yard with the hubby!

OK.....So I know this is a long blog...with TONS of pics, but I thought I would just add our Monday in as well. I had both Cash and Ry over on Monday and we had lots of fun just relaxing and playing! Ry is always so good to help out with both Chase and Cash and we all just sit and play all day! In the afternoon we headed over to Gibby's 1 year old birthday! What a fun Monday! Just another fun way to end the weekend!

Oh my Heck!

We are getting a deck!

Ok, that line was pretty dang cheesy, but rhymed so well, I could not resist. Well were finally getting a deck! I can honestly say we are so excited. We were going to start working on the backyard a little more last year, but once Chase came it seemed or time and extra money for such an endeavor went out the door. Now we are just excited to get one so we can enjoy nice evenings on the porch and so Chase can start enjoying that yard. Chris and Marvin started working on it about 5 pm last night and finished up around 10. This is where we are so far! I will post more pics as they come!

This is where we started...Just a plain old metal landing!
Just getting under way!

Wow...Looking good!

A little more was competed, but this was the last shot I took before it got dark! Yep they were hard at work until 10 pm

This shot I just thought was cute of Boobers trying to figure out how to get back in the house.

One Year Old Appointment & Seven Peaks

Chase has his 1 year old appointment yesterday! It is still so crazy to me that a year has come and gone so fast and how this little guy is just growing like a weed. The doctor as always was so good with him, and said that Chase loves to show off his little milestones. What can I say? He loves to ham it up for the doctor more than anyone. It was so cute, because the doctor always pokes on there stomachs a little to check for...well to check for whatever doctors check for. Well as he started poking Chase he started laughing and giggled away. Chase is just a little tickilish as many of you know.
The sad part of the day of course was the shots. The shock that came to me was the fact that 2 of the shots had to go in his arm. For the most part Chase has always been very good when he was gotten shots and would wimper, but as soon as I picked him up he would be ok. Today was a different story. I had to hold his arms and they give him three shots at the same time, 2 in the arm and one in the leg. As soon as he got them, his back curled up and he did a shiver and started screaming. I thought with me holding him he would get better, but he cried for almost 10 minutes. It made me feel so bad just for the simple fact that he has never reacted that way before, and that I could tell he was in pain. Poor guy... Afterward we went to Target and Walmart and he seemed to be feeling better and even got a little smoothie as a treat for being such a brave boy!

Seven Peaks...So Much Fun!
Today we were able to hit the Seven Peaks with Lani and Payton and, Rylee. It was so much fun! I love seeing the kids play together and it makes Seven Peaks that much more fun for me!
Here are just a few pics of the day!
Payton and Chase.
Chase loves to spash in the water!
Ry is loving the water, and her sunbathing!

I just love this pic of Payton! So cute!

I just think this video of all the kids splashing around is so cute...my voice narrating is not so cute, so just mute and look at the cute kids. :)

Happy Birthday Chase!

Today is Chases first birthday! I can hardly believe that a year has come and gone and that my baby is turning into a little boy. It is a bitter sweet moment, and I am kinda embarrassed to say that I have shed a little tear over it. This year has been an incredible year for me. Being a mom is so much more than I ever imagined and I am so grateful everyday that I was blessed with such a sweet little guy. He is always on the move and is so curious and into everything he can get his hands on. Yesterday we celebrated his first birthday with a little birthday bash! It was a lot of fun and a crazy day to say the least. The idea of his whole party was, "Splish, Splash it is Chases first birthday bash!" We bought baby pools and a beach ball sprinkler and were excited for a fun little BBQ in the backyard while watching the kids play in the water. Well...the weather had a different idea. I can hardly believe that were are still in the 60's in June and that rain was in the forecast. I was a little bummed by the weather, but everyone showed up and it was still a success. Thanks to all of our friends and family who came to support Chase in this big milestone in his life. It is so good to know there are so many people who love and care about him, and have been here to watch him grow up this first year. Here is just some fun information about our little guy at his first year.

Favorite Foods: Any type of fruit....If he sees fruit you better get it to him ASAP or you are going to here a little screech. Green Beans, Peas, Sweet Potatoes, and Carrots. To be honest he will pretty much eat anything.

Foods he Dislikes: Tomatoes (I wonder where he got that from) Avocado, It is crazy because he would eat both of these foods up when I first started feeding it to him and now throws it on the floor if it is on the menu.

Favorite Item: Soft Blankets. It doesn't matter what blanket it is, but if it has silk and that other soft material he is going to run off with it. He will not go to sleep without his silk soft blanket.

Chases Birthday Cup Cakes! (Thanks Tatum, they turned out perfect!) Here is how we had the tables set up inside. Then at the last minute we put them back outside...

Chris manning the grill!

The Birthday Boy opening all of his gifts.....(So spoiled and a little overwhelmed!)

Chases new ride....I think all the kids loved present time!Zippity-Yeah- and Heidi-Ho....The Birthday Song!

Time to dig into his cupcake! He was a little timid at first, but finished every bite! Mommy and Daddy and the Birthday Boy!

Clean up time....Chase could not give up the thought of no more cupcake so as the crumbs washed off he was fishing for more.....

I could post TONS more pics! Thanks to everyone who came to support us on Chases big day! We are so lucky to have great friends and family!

Just a little flashback of out little guy on the day he came to us!
